Birds Choose Manufactured Home After Hurricane

Birds Choose Manufactured Home After Hurricane image

Though the Bird family survived the battering of Hurricane Florence, their home did not. Undeterred, the Birds quickly began the process of rebuilding, and chose Clayton Homes to do the job.

Hurricane Florence caused damage to thousands of homes all along the East Coast, including the Bird family’s home in Swansboro, North Carolina. Throughout the time that the storm hit their hometown, the Birds eventually had to leave their home to shelter at their church, which was luckily near the family. They grabbed their important belongings and dogs and left their home for the last time.

When the storm finally passed, it came time to check out the damage left behind by the hurricane. Nearly every home had significant water and roof damage, and the Bird family was no exception. After moving their belongings to Crystal’s dad’s home, the family quickly began their search for a new home.

The next day Crystal Bird discovered the Southern Belle model while browsing for homes online and soon reached out to Clayton Homes of Hampstead who helped her order this beautiful 3 bed, 2 bath, 1800 square foot home model.

With it being a newer home model, availability was limited. With the help of the Hampstead team and her community, the Bird’s were able to travel a few cities away to tour the home and prepare their old land to have the new home delivered. The home has everything they could want, high ceilings, a fireplace, and more!

“It has 9-foot ceilings. People are shocked. I probably couldn’t have found a stick built house I would want more,” said Crystal.
